DJ Hall: ‘They weren’t doing what I was doing at the level I was playing at.’

Wednesday, April 30th, 2008

Getty ImagesHall topped 1,000 receiving yards in each of his final two seasons at Alabama.

While Alabama’s NFL Draft shutout is still being debated and discussed, I wanted to draw your attention to today’s story in the Press-Register featuring a post-draft conversation with DJ Hall.

Does Hudson see this as a long-term assignment? What is the key to energizing the fan base for women’s hoops? What has been the response around the Southeastern Conference? And better yet, has Hudson spoken with Smith since taking over in her place? (Read the full post about ‘Meet Wendell Hudson (again) …’…)

A second fire struck the Montevallo Gardens apartment complex in Birmingham’s Titusville community this morning, about eight hours after the first.

Chris Chandler, whose corporation — Montevallo Gardens, LLC — purchased the more than 300-unit complex about three weeks ago, said he would find other apartments for the six families whose apartments were most heavily damaged by the fires.

The first, which broke out in an upstairs apartment at about 8:30 Monday night, was an accidental cooking fire, Chandler said.
