Nick Saban addresses the Thursday night altercation …
Nick Saban was asked after tonight’s 32-7 victory over Mississippi State about linebacker Rolando McClain’s role in the Thursday night altercation that UA police said yesterday it is investigating.
Here is Saban’s response …
“I want you to know that what he did and what he was involved in will be handled internally as a family. I’m not going to talk about it. We’re still getting information about it. You all don’t have all the facts or you wouldn’t even ask me the question the way you asked it.”
“He played well, and I’m proud of him. I’m proud of the way he played, and I’m proud of the way he represents our team. I think he’s one the best guys on our team, and I think he’s a great person. And if he made a mistake because somebody else did something, we all make them, OK.”
“And I’m not going to penalize and punish him. We will discipline him and change his behavior so he does better, but that’s about it, because he’s done a lot for this university and a lot for our team. he’s a great representative and he’s a great leader. And I’m proud that he’s on the team, and I’m proud to have him on the team.”
